Introducing Signal: The Record of Your Local Services Ads Account That Google Won't Keep

September 22, 2026 · CallRadius · 9 min read
Signal keeps the historyGoogle won't.

Google is leaving Local Services Ads reports behind in the Performance Max migration, and it deletes detailed performance data on a rolling 37-month schedule. The usual advice is "export it to a spreadsheet." We built something better. Signal is CallRadius's reporting product for Local Services Ads. It keeps a continuous record of your account that stays yours, and it comes with an expert that tells you what the record means.

Who Signal is for

CallRadius has two products, and they do different jobs:

CallRadius managementSignal
Who runs the accountAn experienced CallRadius manager, working with the CallRadius LSA AI management systemYou (or your agency)
Can it change your Google account?Yes, through your manager, who makes every changeNo. Read-only, enforced by the system
Price$499 per LSA account per monthFrom $29 per LSA account per month

Signal is for advertisers who want to keep running their own account but don't want to lose its history, and who want a sharper view of what's happening in it.

What Signal gives you

A record that starts on day one

When you connect your Google account, Signal starts keeping your history, during the free trial, before you've paid anything. A product built on "Google deletes your history, we keep it" shouldn't wait for a payment before it starts keeping it. The days you'd lose are exactly the days you can't get back.

The real cost of a customer, not a conversion event

Google counts conversion events. A customer who calls twice and sends a message can show up as three leads. Signal links repeat contacts to the same person and counts distinct people. That gives you a cost per customer alongside Google's cost per lead. The gap between them is often the most surprising number in the account.

Economics by category, with honest labels

Signal breaks leads, bookings and returns down by service category. Google reports spend for the whole account, not by category, so any per-category spend figure has to be allocated rather than measured, and Signal labels it that way. We'd rather tell you how a number was worked out than have you find out later.

Call intelligence, without keeping the audio

On Signal Pro, calls are transcribed and analyzed for intent, handling quality and outcome. The transcript and analysis are kept. The audio is never stored. The recording is transcribed and then deleted.

Your market around you

Signal Pro also tracks your ad position and your competitors over time, so you can see when you slipped and who took your place.

HELM, the expert built in

A record tells you what happened. HELM, CallRadius's evidence-based AI expert for Local Services Ads, tells you what it means and what an experienced practitioner would do next. Its defining trait is restraint: when the evidence doesn't support a conclusion, it says so. Every Signal plan includes HELM: a limited allowance on Signal, unlimited on Signal Pro or with the add-on. Read more about HELM.

Read-only, and we mean it

Here's something we won't claim, and what we claim instead. Google offers one permission scope for the Ads API. There's no read-only version. So any vendor telling you "we only asked for read access" is describing something Google doesn't offer.

Our claim is stronger, and you can check it: Signal only reads your account and can't change it. Inside CallRadius, every Signal-connected Google account is set to a monitor-only scope, and a database-level rule rejects any other setting for a Signal account. That keeps it out of optimization and out of every write path. It's enforced by the system, not just promised in a policy.

A failed card doesn't take away your history

We built this into the code, not just the terms. If a payment fails, you get an email and a three-day grace period, and your dashboard shows the exact date updates will pause. After that, new data stops coming in, but your existing record stays readable. A product whose whole promise is "your history is safe" shouldn't lock you out of it over an expired card.

Exports

You can download the current month as CSV at any time. Earlier months stay viewable in Signal for as long as you subscribe. We're telling you that up front rather than letting you find it out later.

Pricing

PlanPriceIncludes
Free trial14 days, no cardYour record starts on day one
Signal$29 per LSA account / monthThe continuous record, lead-level detail, cost per distinct customer, category economics, and HELM (one deep review per data window plus five questions a month)

The 14-day trial matches the 14 days' notice Google gives before your migration. That's deliberate.

Agencies can resell Signal under their own brand at wholesale prices. See our agency article.

Early access

Signal is opening in early access now. Some features, including HELM inside the Signal portal, are still rolling out to early-access accounts, and we'll tell you which ones when you join. If you want your record to start before your migration notice arrives rather than after, that's the order that matters. Request early access.
